Facts about Silencers:

They call them silencers but in fact they are a sound suppressor. They reduce the noise level (decibel) that the human ear hears, and even this varies from person to person.

There are two types of Gun Suppressors:
Wet and Dry.
A 'Wet' Suppressor uses either grease (a gel) or water to help reduce the sound, that's called muffling the sound.
A 'Dry' Suppressor, which is the more common used today. This simply screws onto a threaded barrel.

There are two 'Dry Suppressor' types:
Solid Core Piece - it essentially is like a barrel on a gun, you use the same cleaning tool as you do to clean the barrel of your handgun or rifle.
Parts Assembled - This type allows the user to take the suppressor apart to clean it thoroughly.

To reduce the sound a firearm makes, such as a 22 caliber or 9mm pistol should use sub sonic ammo (bullets) should be used.

A 'Silencer' does not have to be large as you see in the movies although they are readily used. The newer suppressors use titanium and the suppressor is smaller in length and diameter and not nearly as heavy.

To mount a suppressor on a semi auto handgun you must have 3 basic parts.
First – A threaded extended Barrel.
Second – An Adapter that screws onto the threaded barrel, then onto the suppressor.
Third – The Suppressor unit itself that either quick disconnects onto the threaded adapter or screws onto the adapter piece.

Often times the Suppressor is made specifically for a type of gun. For example one of the most common handguns in America is a Glock. To accommodate the Glock some people elect to have an elevated sight put onto the suppressor for better sight and aiming.

Glock at the moment does not make an extended barrel for most of it's handguns. So for a suppressor to fit a Glock you have to buy a third party gun barrel with a threaded piece for the suppressor to fit.
This is why many people who want to own a Suppressor legally in the USA end up buying an H&K (USP Tactical Series); Sig Sauer (such as the P220); or Beretta handgun (such as the 92 Series) with an extended barrel, then have the barrel threaded, if necessary, by the suppressor manufacturer or a third party that specializes in doing so.

Syringe as a Weapon

Using a Syringe (Hypodermic Needle) as a weapon.
Two successful methods have been used by assassins-
1) Using a Syringe filled with Potassium Chloride, this is more readily available than one might think.
2) An empty Syringe pushing air into an artery such as in the neck.
Note: Syringes are now available everywhere because of the disposable syringes used by people with sugar diabetes. Just get one out of a trash can.

How To Make a Smoke Bomb:

I have not tried this particular method myself and don't personally know anyone who has. Build this at your own risk.
Warning: Even Simple Homemade Bombs, Incendiary Devices, Explosives, and Homemade Fireworks, Flamethrowers, etc. are illegal in the United States unless you have a federal license.

How to Make a Smoke Bomb

Items Needed:
1) A Double Boiler.
This is a saucepan with a second saucepan that sits inside it. You put water in the bottom pan and it heats whatever you put in the top pan gently, minimizing risk of fire.
2) A Hot Plate.
You need to cook this outside because of possibility of fire.
3) Saltpeter
Potassium Nitrate - generally an unrestricted chemical available at some local drug stores, some health food stores, and over the Internet. Used as a salt substitute and food additive, ingestion over time may cause temporary impotence!
4)Sugar
5)White-tip strike-anywhere Matches.
6)Small Containers, such as the bottom half of a soda can.

Steps:
With the double boiler on the hotplate on low, heat 4 parts potassium nitrate to 6 parts of sugar, stirring constantly, until it reaches a Carmel color and consistency. Quickly spoon the mixture into the containers, and insert a cluster of 4 or 5 matches until just the heads are exposed. The mixture will dry hard quickly.

To use, strike a match against the exposed match heads and quickly drop or toss the homemade smoke grenade. Better yet, set it down and light it and get the hell away.
A pound of this mixture will cover the better part of a city block with thick, non-toxic, Carmel smelling white smoke.

WARNING!
This mixture burns very hot and very fast!
The can it's in will be burned to ash by the fire!
DO NOT hold in hand!
This mixture can start brush fires very quickly if you aren't careful! Bring a fire extinguisher just in case!
Do not attempt to make or use if home made fireworks are prohibited in your area! Also new rules pertaining to these and other devices have been enacted since 911.

That being said, This is a fireworks recipe that has been published numerous times from different sources including the Internet.

Note: Several people have emailed me again about posting homemade weapons, explosives, etc. Once again, I have no knowledge of how to make these myself. I strongly advise against trying to make any type of homemade weapon or explosive.
Saying, that it is always good in today's crazy ass world to be able to identify such a device if you would happen to come across one and then would know not to touch it and call the proper authorities for safe disposal.

Chinese Gangs making Homemade Shotguns

Home made handgun revolvers using standard 12 gauge shotgun shells are becoming increasingly popular with Taiwanese gang members, and this one was confiscated from a 19 year old gang gun runner.
While it's not the first shotgun shell revolver, Taurus makes one called the Judge, this homemade shotgun fires a regular 12 gauge round.
The going street price in Taiwan for one of these suckers is around $7000.

Homemade: Remington 1740, 12 Gauge Double Barrel Pump Shotgun

This was emailed to me. Supposedly a guy named Moe Szyslak created the weapon for his personal use.
The Remington 1740, a 12 gauge, double-barreled, pump action shotgun. Made by fusing a left-ejecting Remington 870 to a right-ejecting Remington 870.

Basic Acid Bomb

WARNING:
Handling of dangerous chemicals like acid is extremely dangerous and requires training and proper safety equipment.
Mixing chemicals together such as an acid with a reacting base is hazardous and may cause severe injury even death. There is no way to predict when one of these types of homemade bombs will actually go off.

What's an acid bomb?
A plastic bottle filled with an acid and a reacting base.
Acid bombers make use of the same type of chemical reaction that causes vinegar and baking soda to bubble up when you mix them together. The Acid bomb makers fill a bottle with hydrochloric acid or something else with a low pH, and add a strong base, like drain-clearing liquid. They might replace one of these ingredients with aluminum foil, which can react with either an acid or a base.
Then, they shake it up.
If they're using the right kind of base, the combination of the chemicals will produce a gas.
For vinegar and baking soda, it's carbon dioxide.
The gas builds up pressure inside the sealed bottle until it explodes.
An acid bomb, which is also called a "bottle bomb" or a "MacGyver bomb" doesn't have a timer to set or a fuse to light, and you can't predict exactly when it will explode.
If your device works, its contents should begin to bubble after you shake it up, and the plastic bottle may swell before it bursts. The whole process generally takes a minute to begin, which supposedly gives the bomber a short time to make a getaway.

What is a Molotov Cocktail?
The Molotov cocktail, also known as the petrol bomb, gasoline bomb, or Molotov bomb, or simply Molotov, is a generic name used for a variety of improvised incendiary weapons. They are frequently used by rioters due to the relative ease of production.
The bombs were named after the then Foreign Minister of the Soviet Union, Vyacheslav Molotov.

The Incendiary Device or Bomb:
In its simplest form, a Molotov cocktail is a glass bottle containing gasoline (petrol) fuel usually with a source of ignition such as a burning cloth wick held in place by the bottle's stopper. The wick is usually soaked in alcohol or paraffin, rather than petrol.
In action the wick is lit and the bottle hurled at a target such as a vehicle or fortification. When the bottle smashes on impact, the ensuing cloud of petrol droplets and vapor are ignited, causing an immediate fireball followed by a raging fire as the remainder of the fuel is consumed.
Other flammable liquids such as wood alcohol and turpentine have been used in place of petrol. Thickening agents such as tar, strips of tire tubing, sugar, animal blood, XPS foam, egg whites, motor oil, rubber cement, and dish soap have been added to help the burning liquid adhere to the target and create clouds of thick choking smoke.
Thus there are variations to this device but the what makes it work is any flammable liquid and a glass bottle.

Development and Use:
On 30 November 1939, the Soviet Union launched a war against Finland after a futile year and a half campaign to persuade the Finnish government to cede territory to the Soviet Union and give up some sovereignty by conceding specific military and political favors. The Finnish Army, facing Red Army tanks in what came to be known as the Winter War, borrowed the design of an improvised incendiary device that had been used in the just concluded Spanish Civil War (July 1936—February 1939). In that conflict, General Francisco Franco ordered Spanish Nationalists to use the weapon against Soviet T-26 tanks supporting the Spanish Republicans in a failed 1936 assault near Toledo, 80 km south from Madrid.
The United States Marine Corps developed a version during World War II that used a tube of nitric acid and a lump of metallic sodium to ignite a mixture of petrol and diesel fuel.
Important Note: While Molotov cocktails may be a psychologically effective method of disabling tanks and armored vehicles by forcing the crew out or damaging external components, most modern tanks cannot be physically destroyed or rendered completely inoperable by Molotov cocktails.

Vietnam Photo Era of a Foo Gas Test:

Foo Gas can be used in a pipe, or more commonly, a 55-gallon drum of electrically detonated napalm or similar mixtures to napalm. Its detonation causes a brief sheet of fire similar to a flamethrower to shoot upward or outward. Foo gas was developed for perimeter defense during Vietnam, and was used extensively by U.S. Special Forces. This was a perimeter style defense weapon at Fire Bases. Foo gas comes in modified 55-gallon drums, which can be interlocked like a chained. It can also be used in empty metal artillery containers.
FOO GAS is a mixture of gasoline and powdered laundry soap or other thickening agents like human or animal blood. As the war progress, the use of Foo Gas was enhanced by adding C4 Explosive Charges. Some Vets say that when it ignited it would turn the night sky into daylight.
