OSS WWII T13 Beano Grenade

This was designed in the later years of the war by the O.S.S. (Office of Strategic Services) the forerunner to the CIA. The manufacturer was Eastman Kodak. The concept was to design a hand grenade shaped like a baseball because it made it easy for anyone to throw and get some distance. This grenade was designed to explode on impact. The weight was 9-ounces. Several people died or were injured during the testing of this product which according to records was planned for World War 2 but was never used.

Syringe as a Weapon

Using a Syringe (Hypodermic Needle) as a weapon.
Two successful methods have been used by assassins-
1) Using a Syringe filled with Potassium Chloride, this is more readily available than one might think.
2) An empty Syringe pushing air into an artery such as in the neck.
Note: Syringes are now available everywhere because of the disposable syringes used by people with sugar diabetes. Just get one out of a trash can.

Mossberg Silver Reserve Shotgun 20g 26 inch

moss_silver_reserve.jpg

The Reserve Series was conceived to fill the void recognized in the field and by sport shooting venues around the world - that of an affordable over-and-under. These double-guns share the same classic lines, craftsmanship, and most importantly, the reliability associated with so-called "high-end" over-and-unders, all at a price everyone can live with.

MAXIMUM VERSATILITY
Every 12, 20, and 28 gauge Silver and Onyx ReserveTM Series shotgun is equipped with five interchangeable choke tubes and wrench, providing the ultimate in versatility with lead, steel and other non-toxic loads.

A DISTINCTIVE TOUCH
Rich scroll-work and gold accented hunting scenes decorate the receiver, further distinguishing the Silver ReserveTM from other models costing much more.

At the heart of every Reserve Series over-and-Under is an underlock design, box-lock action for superior strength and low profile. Low profile barrels are positioned lower in the receiver and in closer alignment to the shooter's eyes and hands. So when you shoulder the gun, you'll almost instinctively be right on target!
Precision machining keeps the action completely closed, keeping dirt and other unwanted debris out of the receiver, helping to reduce wear and maintenance.

Manual extractors provide a smooth, effortless operation of the action, while serving as an environmentally friendly way of keeping spent hulls from littering the range or hunting fields.

Simple, reliable, easy to maintain operating system
Highly figured, hand-checkered black walnut stock and schnabel-style forearm
Radiused recoil pad for stable positioning, shouldering and aids in recoil reduction
Ambidextrous thumb-operated top-tang safety with an integrated Barrel selector
Steel receiver with top-tang Action Release Lever
Dual locking lugs
Detailed engraving with gold accented game scenes on Silver Reserve™ models
Wide ventilated rib
Chrome-plated chambers and bores
Set of 5 interchangeable choke tubes, including Improved Cylinder(2), Modified, Improved Modified, and Full, with wrench supplied
Includes free gun lock
One-Year limited warranty

How To Make a Smoke Bomb:

I have not tried this particular method myself and don't personally know anyone who has. Build this at your own risk.
Warning: Even Simple Homemade Bombs, Incendiary Devices, Explosives, and Homemade Fireworks, Flamethrowers, etc. are illegal in the United States unless you have a federal license.

This post is strictly for informational purposes only.
Source. The Internet

How to Make a Smoke Bomb

Items Needed:
1) A Double Boiler.
This is a saucepan with a second saucepan that sits inside it. You put water in the bottom pan and it heats whatever you put in the top pan gently, minimizing risk of fire.
2) A Hot Plate.
You need to cook this outside because of possibility of fire.
3) Saltpeter
Potassium Nitrate - generally an unrestricted chemical available at some local drug stores, some health food stores, and over the Internet. Used as a salt substitute and food additive, ingestion over time may cause temporary impotence!
4)Sugar
5)White-tip strike-anywhere Matches.
6)Small Containers, such as the bottom half of a soda can.

Steps:
With the double boiler on the hotplate on low, heat 4 parts potassium nitrate to 6 parts of sugar, stirring constantly, until it reaches a Carmel color and consistency. Quickly spoon the mixture into the containers, and insert a cluster of 4 or 5 matches until just the heads are exposed. The mixture will dry hard quickly.

To use, strike a match against the exposed match heads and quickly drop or toss the homemade smoke grenade. Better yet, set it down and light it and get the hell away.
A pound of this mixture will cover the better part of a city block with thick, non-toxic, Carmel smelling white smoke.

WARNING!
This mixture burns very hot and very fast!
The can it's in will be burned to ash by the fire!
DO NOT hold in hand!
This mixture can start brush fires very quickly if you aren't careful! Bring a fire extinguisher just in case!
Do not attempt to make or use if home made fireworks are prohibited in your area! Also new rules pertaining to these and other devices have been enacted since 911.

That being said, This is a fireworks recipe that has been published numerous times from different sources including the Internet.

Note: Several people have emailed me again about posting homemade weapons, explosives, etc. Once again, I have no knowledge of how to make these myself. I strongly advise against trying to make any type of homemade weapon or explosive.
Saying, that it is always good in today's crazy ass world to be able to identify such a device if you would happen to come across one and then would know not to touch it and call the proper authorities for safe disposal.

Do you have a Weapon or Firearm you would like to share with the readers here? Please send the photo pictures, video, or video link to me via email and I will post it.
Remember to give proper credit to the owner if the item is not yours.

Women Buying More Guns in Connecticut

Connecticut residents are arming themselves at quite a clip, with women, in particular, packing heat in growing numbers.
The state issued 7,741 pistol permits from January through May, a 90 percent increase over the same time period in 2008. Nearly 12,000 new permits have been issued so far this year in a state that recently posted one of the lowest gun ownership rates in the country, according a study of 2006 data by the Violence Policy Center, a national gun control advocacy group based in Washington, D.C.
Connecticut gun retailers and educators who run the safety classes required for pistol permit applicants report a surge in first-time gun purchases, particularly by women, who account for up to half of the students taught in Torrington.
"I think that the percentage that you'd see of women coming for the first time has quadrupled," said John Petricone, a staffer at Tactical Arms in Torrington. Pistol safety classes that once drew about nine men for every woman are now evenly split, Petricone said.
Herb Furhman, a retired state trooper who now trains correction officers and operates HF LeanSafety LLC in New Milford, said his private classes are running at capacity, and about a third of his students are female.
"There's more single women now," Furhman said.
"They want to be protected in their home."
Furhman said high-profile crimes, including the Aug. 6 home invasion and rape of a New Milford woman and the notorious 2007 home invasion rape and murder of Dr. William Petit's wife and two daughters in Cheshire, fuel much of the interest in firearms. He recently secured certification to teach an advanced course on personal protection in the home, with a first class coming in October.
Ray Sausanavitch, owner of Wolf's Indoor Range and Shooting Center in Bristol, said his began to jump during the 2008 presidential campaign.
"It's all due to Mr. Obama, our biggest salesman," Susanavitch said, noting that Obama as a senator and a presidential candidate supported tighter gun control. President Obama has not made any movements so far toward stricter gun control laws.
Still, Susanavitch has no doubt that the administration will make a push to tighten gun laws eventually.
"Whenever you get a threat that something might be taken away, it doesn't matter what it is ... sales of that particular item are going to go up," Susanavitch said. "It's just that simple."
Gun control advocates, who failed to secure legislation this year that would require gun makers to imprint serial numbers on the firing pins of pistols sold in Connecticut, worry the surge in gun ownership will eventually bring tragic consequences.
"We're always concerned that more guns lead to more gun deaths," said Ron Pinciaro, co-director of Connecticut Against Gun Violence, an advocacy group based on Southport.
"From our perspective, if people want to have guns for self-defense or hunting, we're not opposed to that," Pinciaro said. "But we do advise people that a gun in a household is 47 times more likely to be used against another member of the household than it is against an intruder."
That statistic, drawn from an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, is one Furhman views with skepticism.
"I teach safe, responsible gun ownership, safety being the operative word," Furhman said. The three basic rules: "Aim in safe direction, never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot, and always keep firearms unloaded."
Ammunition is also flying off the shelves. Susanavitch and other gun retailers said supplies of everything but shotgun ammunition remain short, and pistol ammunition is in particularly short supply.
"We don't get every caliber every week," Susanavitch said. "Everything's back-ordered."
John Napierski, co-owner Jojo's Gun Works, a Southington shop that specializes in high-end custom guns, said strong sales have been fueled by a new customer base.
"It's a lot of women," Napierski said. "Not the usual gun guys."
Tactical Arms staffer Samantha Cavallo, 21, said the store's policy that staff should be armed while on duty is not the only reason she secured her own pistol permit.
"I just want it for my own protection," Cavallo said, citing concern sparked by recent burglaries in Torrington, her hometown. "A lot of my girlfriends and family members they definitely think it's a good thing to have. You've got to be ready, and be prepared."

The fight over the Second Amendment

Sure is scary to consider that some lawmakers want us to register all our guns in a separate and new index, and could be confiscated later under certain pretenses. Our gun ownership rights and our second amendment rights are under attack. Thank goodness for Reps like Adrian Smith in Nebraska, who oppose such daggers in our constitutional hearts.
Monday, August 10, 2009
...the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. -- Amendment II

Those 14 words, perhaps more than any others in the U.S. Constitution, have inspired discussions, arguments and legal debates for years and years.
Now, legislation introduced in January by Rep. Bobby Rush (D-IL) and lingering in the House Judiciary Committee has stirred up emotions on both sides of the gun control issue and once again brought these words into the spotlight.
Rush's bill, the Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act (H.R. 45), establishes a federal licensing and registration regime under the direction of the U.S. Attorney General and would make it a criminal act not to register as an owner of a firearm.
The bill will also:
· Establish a federal licensing requirement for ownership of handguns and semiautomatic weapons, not including antiques, with application requirements which include a photograph of the gun owner, fingerprinting of the gun owner, a current address, a completed, written firearms safety test, and private mental health records. These licenses must be renewed every five years;
· Create a federal registration database for handguns and semiautomatics to which every new sale or transfer -- including transfers among private individuals -- in America must be reported within 14 days;
· Require a background check to be performed in any transfer of guns and provides penalties of up to two years in jail for failure to comply with any licensing or background check requirements.
· Establish penalties of up to 10 years for parents whose children gain access to their firearms unless they meet certain federally-established requirements.
It should be noted there are already federally required background checks for purchasing weapons. A government database of all gun owners or longer waiting periods will not keep criminals from getting their hands on a gun.
Furthermore, this bill does nothing to curb the criminals who would use handguns to commit a crime. Just the opposite -- it would turn law-abiding citizens into lawbreakers for overlooking one of many forms or address verification.
Any bill which would require photographing and fingerprinting for simply possessing a firearm flies in the face of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees -- and as the U.S. Supreme Court definitively ruled in District of Columbia v Heller -- the American people have the right to keep and bear arms.
As a member of the National Rifle Association and the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, I will work with my colleagues in the House of Representatives to promote legislation protecting our constitutional rights and oppose legislation, such as H.R. 45, which restricts such rights.
We need to work harder to ensure the safety of our citizens, but we must do so in a way which protects our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.
Our country's founding fathers understood how important the principle of the Second Amendment is in ensuring our basic freedoms. They had faith in the citizens of America. We should have the same faith in our fellow countrymen today.
